Jeff Brock Chairs Capital Roundtable on Franchise Investing in Private Equity

New York, New York – Jeff Brock, Founder and Managing Partner of Hargett Hunter Capital Partners, played the role of Chairperson at the Capital Roundtable’s conference, “Private Equity Investing in Franchise Companies – How to Identify Franchise Companies That Can Successfully Disrupt Their Marketplaces.”

Attendees discovered how the scope of franchising is changing and why valuations continue to soar across the field.   The program examined innovations in the quick-service, fast-casual, and fine dining arena, but also the concepts that are disrupting the marketplace such as:

  • Education franchises that focus on early learning, supplemental tutoring, and children’s services
  • Health-related franchises such as fitness centers, massage therapy providers, and nutritional programs
  • Commercial and residential real estate franchises such as green cleaning, industrial maintenance, and security products

Brock called on many of his franchise and restaurant industry contacts to fill many of the roles on various panel discussions such as “High Valuations –How PE Deals are Being Impacted,” “Pre & Post Transaction Relationships with Franchise Management Teams — Operating & Deal Partners Share Strife & Success,”  and “Franchise Conversion — Criteria to Consider When Converting an Existing Brand into a Franchise Model.”  Brock even led the last panel of the day focused on strategies for fundraising and ultimately finding strategically valuable limited partners.

The sold out event was held at The University Club in Midtown Manhattan and was followed by a social reception.
